Titagarh stretches its global reach and presence through factories in India and Italy. We cater to passenger rail systems including trains and metros as well. Our product range expands to include electric propulsion equipment such as traction motors and vehicle control systems. Titagarh also designs and manufactures wagons such as container flats, grain hoppers, cement wagons, clinker wagons, and tank wagons.
Titagarh India
Headquartered in Kolkata, India, Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (Titagarh) is a leading railway rolling stock manufacturer. Established as a rolling stock foundry unit in the 1980’s Titagarh started its journey by producing railway castings such as bogies and couplers for the Indian railways. As we enhanced our expertise, we achieved a significant milestone in 1997 when Titagarh proudly manufactured its first railway freight wagon. This accomplishment set a high standard for our future endeavors and paved the way for us to become a leading force in the Indian market. In 2015, a major turning point occurred when Titagarh acquired a 100% stake in Titagarh Firema SpA, an esteemed Italian company known for manufacturing passenger rolling stock.
Joint Ventures
Titagarh has entered into a consortium with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for “Manufacture cum Maintenance of 80 Vande Bharat trainsets including up-gradation of the Government Manufacturing Units & Trainset Depot”. A special purpose vehicle shall be formed by BHEL and Titagarh for maintenance of the trainsets.
Titagarh has entered into a consortium with Ramkrishna Forgings Limited (RKFL) for “Manufacturing and Supply of Forged Wheels under Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India”. The total quantity of Forged Wheels to be supplied will be around 15,40,000 wheels over a period of 20 (twenty) years. Titagarh has incorporated a Joint Venture Company with RKFL for execution of the Project. Titagarh and TFA have formed a joint venture company in India to cater to design and research related services in inter alia the transit and propulsion business.
