WAP-7 AND WAG 9/9H
Titagarh Rail Systems, plays a significant role in the production of locomotive shells extensively used on the railway tracks of India, these shells are manufactured in our Bharatpur unit at Rajasthan.
Specifically, our facility specializes in manufacturing of shells of WAP 7 Locomotives, an electric locomotive tailored for Indian railways and classified under the 7th category of Wide Gauge (W), Alternating Current (AC) charged (A). Additionally, we produce WAG9 Locomotives, designed for Freight-dedicated (G-Goods) purposes, catering to the efficient movement of freight. While sharing similarities with the WAP-7 class, the WAP 7 distinguishes itself with a unique gear ratio, making it particularly well-suited for managing heavy freight operations.
